Highlights of the day: Washcloths do not exist in Germany. "Washcloth, what do you mean by washcloth?" Me: "A square small towel you use in the shower." Peter: "You mean like what you put your hand into to clean a child?" Me and Kate: "No, not really." Peter: "We do not have such a thing."
Naked man is a very well known sculpture in which people like to "touch him." I only gave naked man an arm hug. He was a little creepy without eyes...
Surfing exists in Munich!! On a river with people in wet suits! All year long...
They do not refrigerate eggs in Germany.
Ikea is just like it is in the U.S. except they really do have Swedish food, and it's pretty darn good!!
Hope everyone in the U.S. is doing well. I will be having a solo adventure tomorrow with Kate to explore Munich on our own without grandparents. It should be interesting...wish us luck. Oh and I found someone to experiment with the nude English Garden with me come warm weather!!! I know you are all excited. When in Rome do as the Romans do! Who thinks I should learn to surf in Munich too???
Here is my bungalow and other things from today...
Coffee, which is required after almost all meals...
The pedestrian walkway in the Munich City Center...
This is a "magazine" (department store). Sale is the same word in English and in German.
One of the 3 or 4 gates/doors that surround Munich...
Where I had my first taste/experience with Gluhwein...I wasn't into it.
The ice skating rink in Marien Platz... The bears help the beginners stand up straight! (I will be using one of those this week when I try it out :)
The statue on a platform looking like he is jumping in Marien Platz...I don't know!!
bed
shelf
Cool staircase...
table downstairs
Downstairs- kitchen area
Ikea chair!
Bungalow bathroom, yes the whole bathroom gets wet when I take a shower!
My armoire. Not 'closet' as that means bathroom.
This is 'Naked Man!' When I get me hugging Naked Man I will post it!!
A neat old wall in a courtyard...
Surfing on the river. A natural wave which never ends!
A really cool Honda...
So in the parking garage certain spots are reserved for women, elderly and then families!!! Pretty neat!
