So after almost 15 hours of traveling, I made it safely to Munich!! As we landed in Munich, I look out the window to see the most beautiful sight--The Alps. It was -9 degrees C when I landed, not really that terrible, but also freezing rain. Dr. Peterander and his wife, Judith, met me at the airport and we surprisingly found each other. We picked up the other student, Kate, and then went to check out my new living space for the next 4 months. The bungalow is pretty awesome. It is small, yet surprisingly roomy. I have a balcony upstairs off of the bedroom loft. I will send pictures later. We got a tour of the neighborhood, stores and what not. These bungalows I'm in housed the athletes for the 1972 Olympics held here in Munich. Pretty neat!
That's me in my bungalow with the other student, Kate, and Dr. Peterander.
Outside the bungalow area, Kate and I. The tower in the back is from the Olympics and the yellow tubes and poles in the left background were also part of the Olympics, the athletes used them to navigate around or something.
More pictures will follow, but I'm exhausted! So, Auf Wiedersehen (thanks for that Jonathan!)
Hi Amie! Looks like quite an adventure. We miss you!
